The tools I have used in order to collect my pre-assessment data would is the student's individual weekly behavior chart. This shows me what type of behvior they are exhibiting over a period of time. With this information, my CT's and I have created a behavior management plan with our more difficult students in order to pin point to behvior that we see him exhibiting the most in the classroom. Everytime he does something against the goal, we remind him of his goal so that he will be encouraged to meet it in order to get his reward which is extra computer time.

This goal sheet is my pre-assessment that will be used to help me formulate my objectives for my connected lesson for my inquiry on behavior management. Based upon the pre-assessments that I have gathered, I see that some of our more challenging students work best when alone and prefer it. With my lesson, I plan to differentiate my instruction so that he gets the oppurtunity to do so while also making sure he is staying on task by frequently giving him attention during the lesson. This can include calling on him to answer questions or giving him a specific job to do like passing out the materials needed for the lesson. Before any of this takes place, I will remind him of his goal today, let him know that he is already doing a great job keeping that goal and if he keeps it up,he will recieve his comuter time. This helps him know that I the teacher am keeping track of what he does while I am teaching. Most of his outbursts in class occur when he does not feel like he is being watched.
